Tramshed

Location: Tramshed, Shoreditch
Meal: Starters: Moyallon Pork Crackling £3.95, Beef balls Mains: Chateau Steak with watercress and shallot salad £18.50
Price: Roughly £25

Tramshed is well known for the massive cow that is on display in the middle of the restaurant. It is located in Shoreditch and a lovely atmosphere with tall ceilings. The staff are friendly and the meal was good. I am not a huge fan of that type of pork crackling and for me it tasted like oil. The croquettes pictured was not ours, as we ordered something else so I am not entirely sure what those were like but I'm sure like croquettes. The meat balls were nice, nothing that stood out. The steak was really good, I always find it challenging to decide to have a steak because many places don't do nice steaks at a decent price, but this steak was very good. It wasn't too thick, nor chewy and was cooked to my preference - medium rare. Salad was very good too. The criticism I would give regarding the food was that the presentation wasn't amazing, but the food did taste good. I suppose that is the most important aspect! Dessert was nice, again nothing amazing but good food with good friends and service was good. Overall, good!

Salsa!

Location: Salsa London, Charing Cross
Meal: Set menu - With a complimentary cocktail (Strawberry Daiquiri), Mains chicken burger, white chocolate cheesecake.

Price: £20

I am not sure if it was because of the hour Salsa class prior to our food that made it so enjoyable or whether it was just very tasty! By the time I ate, I was at the tip of my hunger levels! This chicken burger and fries satisfied just that. It was extremely tasty, I completely demolished it. The dessert was equally satisfying.

An overall rating 9/10.

Hoxton Grill

Location: Hoxton Grill, Shoreditch
Meal: Starters: Nachos, sour cream, guacamole, Spicy Chicken Wings & Shrimp Popcorn (3 starters for £14) Mains: Lamb chops with mash (£? ) Dessert: Chocolate Brownie (£6.50) Drink: Lemonade 125ml (£2.50)

Price: Roughly £25pp

Hoxton Grill is also a hotel located in Shoreditch. Not to be mixed up with Hoxton pub! The staff was friendly and the food was great! I particularly loved the starters and the food portion was decent. Company was excellent too! The most disappointing thing was the lemonade, thinking I would get a 7Up or Spirit, instead I got a 125ml lemonade which did not quench thirst as I expected. What is nice about this restaurant is that after you finish your meal, there is a lounge drinking area with sofas by a fireplace where you can chill and wind down.

An overall rating 8/10.
